Natasha Denona Golden Collection Review Beautylookbook.jpg

Natasha Denona has launched two beautiful palettes and glosses from her Golden Collection for summer, and I shared some quick swatches on Instagram earlier this week, but now that I’ve tried them all out, I’m sharing more thoughts and sharing some beauty looks with you today!

Golden Eyeshadow Palette

of Golden Eyeshadow Palette ($69) is definitely the star of the collection. She created an updated version of her original gold palette and I love it. The new golden palette has more neutral tones and is easier to use every day. The matte textures in this palette are incredible. The colors vary in finish, including mattes, metallics, sparkling wet effect shades, and shimmers. The pigmentation is excellent overall. She describes each shade best, so I’ll quote her exact description below:

  • Mliko 538CP – Matte Cream Powder Off-White
  • Nubia 539SF – Sparkling Foil Gold Nude Champagne
  • Pana 540CP – Matte Cream Powder Beige
  • Aria 197CM – Matte Medium Light Dusty Sand
  • Fiji 541SW – Sparkling Wet Effect Golden Nude
  • Varis 203M – Metallic Medium Antique Brass
  • Aura 544M – Metallic Golden Ivory
  • Cheek 207CM – Matte Medium Dusty Caramel
  • Cava 198K – Sparkling Champagne Gold
  • Sandstone 205CM – Matte Medium Ochre
  • Aurum 208M – Metallic Muted Gold
  • Log 202CM – Matte Dark Brown
  • Oro 201M – Metallic Warm Gold
  • Fresh 104CM – Matte Light Warm Nude
  • Alchemist 206M – Metallic Brass

I love this updated version, but as I have a medium complexion, some of the gold shimmers look similar to my eyes. I understand that the theme is “gold” so you can enjoy different shades of gold, but it would have been nice if they had added some darker mattes or deeper bronzes to create more contrast. The biggest surprise for me was how Aura transforms from a stunning white gold to a shade that looks almost white in the palette.

Overall a solid A+, and out of all her palettes this one is in my top four: I Need a Nude, My Dream Palette, and Glam Palette.

Golden Highlighter Trio

Natasha Denona Golden Highlighter Trio

The new highlighter palette Golden Highlighter Trio ($55). It has a super soft texture and a super smooth finish. The shade has a metallic feel to it, with a strong foiled shine effect, but the pigmentation and finish is super easy to control depending on how you apply it to your face. You can apply it lightly for a soft look, or use a dense brush for a metallic look.

I’m not sure if this will suit everyone. I think a lot of people don’t like too much shimmer because it accentuates the texture and pores on the skin. This eyeshadow glides on very smoothly on the skin, but I had to apply it very lightly. I love the shades of the eyeshadow.

I tried it next to her Glow Beautifier with Hy-Gen Skincare It gives it a creamier texture.I also added some Dior Forever Glow Maximizer in gold and nude underneath (maybe I should have blended more of the nude to keep the blend consistent).

Overall, it has that signature Natasha Denona shimmer that’s just so beautiful – it’s not a must-have for me as I already have a lot of similar gold highlighters, but it’s very pretty.

Golden Glimmer Gloss Shimmering Lip Plumper

Natasha Denona Golden Glimmer Gloss Shimmering Lip Plumper

of Golden Glimmer Gloss Shimmering Lip Plumper ($29) is a smooth clear gloss with gold shimmer sprinkled all over. It’s pretty clear and tingles slightly on my lips. There’s very little tingling, no numbness or stinging, even on sensitive lips. It does plump my lips. It almost looks pink on my lips. It doesn’t change color at all (it stays clear), but for some reason, the undertone of my lips was really pink the day I wore this. The formula is smooth and not sticky. I think it’s good to wear for a shine, but the shimmer is very subtle and almost the same as a clear gloss on the lips.

Overall, I love what Natasha has been creating since day one. While I can’t recreate all of her palettes or lip color tones, I find the quality to be always exceptional and truly appreciate the thought she puts into each launch. She is truly an artist. I feel like this level of creativity and dedication to quality and innovation is lost in most beauty brands today, which makes me appreciate her brand even more.
I also love the tutorials she does on her social pages, both of her own and of other models, where she gives us tons of inspiration on how to really apply products on different skin tones.

Available now Sephora, Ulta Beauty and Natasha Denona.
