Cosmetics industry organization NYSCC this month shared a list of its 2024 board members, who were inducted during a NYSCC support education event held on the opening night of this year’s SCC Technology Symposium in New York.

Beauty company OLAPLEX will hire new CEO Amanda Baldwin in early 2024
In October of this year, OLAPLEX, best known for its multi-product hair restoration and treatment systems, announced that early next year it will share with former Supergoop! CEO Amanda Baldwin will join the company as its new CEO. Mr. Baldwin will succeed former CEO JuE Wong, and current OLAPLEX Executive Chairman John P. “JP” Bilbrey will serve as interim CEO until then.

Personal Care Products Council (PCPC) Names Thomas F. Myers as New CEO and President
Effective January 2024, Thomas F. Myers, executive vice president of legal and regulatory affairs and general counsel for the beauty industry organization PCPC, will succeed current chairman Leslie Westin, who has served since 2009. Mr. Myers has been with the organization since 2010. In his current role, he specializes in legal and national regulatory issues for the cosmetics and personal care products industry.

L’Oréal names Fabrice Megaben as its newest chief global growth officer
Fabrice Megarbain, who announced his retirement in early 2024, will become L’Oréal’s chief global growth officer, following Frédéric Roset, who has been with the company for 38 years. Mr. Megarbane has been with the company since 2000 and previously served as General Manager of L’Oréal Lebanon and General Manager of L’Oréal Germany.

Galaxy Group Member TRI-K Industries Appoints Rusmir Niksic as President and CEO
In early October of this year, beauty and personal care products supplier TRI-K Industries hired Rusmir Nikšić, CRODA’s former senior vice president of North America, as its new president and CEO. Niksic’s appointment follows a months-long CEO search process, and he brings more than 25 years of industry experience to the role.
