I loved the new release from NYX and was really excited to try out the moist and shiny dyeing of the NYX Lip IV. This is a lowered down with photos and samples.

I’ve tested some shades and found that the stains are stronger on the lips, but here’s a sample as a dye:
My review
What makes these really great is that they are not only super shiny lip colours, but when the sheen fades, you’re left with a dye that really lasts. As I said at the top, they really remind me of YSL’s shiny dye, especially the water pop varieties that have a watery sensation similar to the lips.
A more recent comparison shows a similarity between NYX Lip IV and the rare beauty lip oil. NYX is thicker, shinier and water-like consistency, but both formulas stain the lips in a very similar way. I think the NYX Formula has a potential to stay hydrated.

It has a rather impressive collection of shades and everything I have is very wearable, especially as dirt. I can see that after you apply it first, a thick shiny texture on your teeth can reach your teeth, but I tend to think this is my problem!

If you are looking for lip gloss lip stain hybrids, I don’t think you can go wrong with these. My favourite shades so far are 02 Hydra Honey, 07 Bubblegum Burst, and 08 Drippin in Rose.
