Trigger warning: This episode talks about sexual abuse

In my last session with a brilliant psychologist, she told me that I should tell my anxiety and mental health story to as many people as possible. Hearing this story from a woman who was truly at the top of her game and who has helped me immeasurably erased all doubts I had (even though I’m not a trained professional) Who can speak?). I believed I had a responsibility to share my story and everything I learned from it (my lifelong anxiety, breakdown, and road to recovery) with as many people as possible. What I’m going to talk about. They would have helped me a lot.

This is “honest anxiety”. Every Monday, I’ll talk about my anxiety journey and what I’ve learned along the way. I’ll talk about the professionals who helped me, the lifestyle changes I had to make, my medications, and how I live with my anxiety. I also want to help you navigate the sometimes complicated world of asking for help. mental health.

I know this isn’t for everyone, but if I can help just one person, it’s enough.

In Episode 1, I’ll give you a little background about my mental health, then talk about red flags you shouldn’t ignore and how to calm your nervous system when things start to boil over.
