We are sitting with Brigette (@acquiredstyle) to discuss hair, how she became famous on Tiktok, and her new hair rollers and collaboration with Luxy!
What does your morning routine look like?
I recently decided to quit my full-time job and work for myself as a content creator instead. Now that you’re your own boss, it’s very important to stick to a schedule and stay organized.
The first thing I do in the morning is drink coffee and then fill out my to-do list for the day. I try to train in the morning at least three times a week.
Please describe your current hair care regimen.
I use a lot of heat on my hair, so I try to be gentle on it.I mean, I always heat protectant! Also, I try not to wash my hair every day, which is difficult because my hair gets greasy quickly. To keep your hair moisturized, use a hair mask two to three times a week to prevent and repair damage.
When did you start using hair rollers and why?
I love this question because I remember it. So clearly! During the pandemic, her sister brought home a pack of hair rollers from the drugstore one day and she said, “I have to try these.” I wasn’t too excited about it at first, but one day I decided to give it a try. . The first time I used them, I didn’t necessarily like the results, but I made it my mission to perfect them.
That’s when I realized that since hair rollers were considered retro, there weren’t many online tutorials or “how-to” videos on how to perfect them. So, after practicing many times, I finally got the hang of it!While doing so, I documented my love for hair rollers On my Tiktok page @acquiredstyle
What is your favorite or do you go for hair hacks?
My mother used to style my hair when I was little. french braid Before bedtime. It was a nice little ritual we did and I ended up waking up in the morning to perfect beach crimp waves. It’s still my favorite hair hack.

I’m part of the team that flips hair all day long, so I don’t have a set part. 😉
We’ll walk you through the process of creating your own hair rollers using Luxy.
This whole process was very exciting. When I first met the team, we initially said we would work together on a “long-term basis”, but when they proposed to me the idea of making and selling hair rollers myself, I was taken aback.
Planning and conceptualization took about seven months. Working with the Luxy Hair team was a dream. They gave me creative freedom regarding the product, so we worked very closely together to bring this product to life, from quality to size to color.
The most important things for me were the quality of the rollers, the mini rollers (XS sized rollers for women with layers and bangs), and the presence or absence of clips to hold the rollers in place. Luxy has been a great help in making all of this happen.

What is your favorite beauty product right now?
Of course hair rollers are the best. But I also love a good face serum, self tanner, and eye patch. I’m also loving Dior Lip Oil and Charlotte Tilbury Lip Cheat Lip Liner right now.
What summer hair trends are you looking forward to?
I loved playing with these little clear rubber bands. You can create lots of fun hairstyles like bubble ponytails and baby braids.
What is your life motto?
Live for today because you can’t live for today tomorrow.

Who is your favorite celebrity style inspiration and why?
I’m currently obsessed with Swedish model Elsa Hosk. Her style is very chic yet on-trend. She has always been true to herself and her style shows great confidence.

Tell us something most of your fans don’t know about you.
I don’t think many people know that I’m half Australian. That would be news to them!
What do you like about living in New York?
I love that New York City is full of new opportunities and I’m never bored. Some of my favorite spots include Jack’s Coffee, his Bubby’s for brunch, and Mamo in Soho for dinner is my favorite restaurant.
