2024 was an all-out year for me and my team at our headquarters in Austin, Texas. We are always happy to share the highlights of the year that we achieved to better serve our loyal friends and customers. Being able to share personal updates like this is one of my favorite parts of being a small, founder-led company. Well then, here you go. Some of the most notable things that happened with Renée Rouleau in 2024 and a sneak peek of 2025!
We launched three new body care products ( today show! )
This year we wanted to take the focus off the face a bit and offer some solutions for the skin of the body as well as wellness products. It’s so much fun that I loved it!
- Wake Me Up Shower Spray – This will completely level up your shower experience. The shower wall is misted, and when you run the water, the entire shower transforms into a eucalyptus-like awakening. Really, very good. And we’ve received a lot of feedback from the men in your life who love this product. (The slang is “He stole what was mine!”)
- bedside body balm – I created this delicious balm because I wanted something to keep on my bedside table and apply to my hands, cuticles, and feet (even with socks on). It blends beautifully into the skin without leaving any sticky residue. I’m sure you’ll love it.
- Back & body buffing towel – I’m obsessed with exfoliating my body for super smooth skin, but traditional body scrubs that you scoop out of a jar aren’t always practical. Here’s an easy way to get rid of dry skin cells all over your body, including hard-to-reach areas like your back. I use this twice a week, followed by a body oil, and the way my skin feels is truly incredible.
We have launched a new eye cream (Hello to fresh eyes!)

Our products are now available for purchase in spas and medical spas
Biggest news of the year…for the first time ever, our products are now available through estheticians and skin care professionals across the United States! I understand that there are. Touching, smelling, trying something new, and maybe getting a René Rouleau facial is what you’ve been looking for.
I declined a lot I have more opportunities to sell my line elsewhere. Big box stores come knocking on my door and I don’t even want to have a conversation with them. I’m not interested in following the path of many brands where the focus is on sales and numbers. All for the almighty dollar. Founders lose their souls when investors strangle them. I see it often and it’s not for me. (I happily own 100% of my company and talk about it a lot) shiny podcast.) But the idea of getting my product out into the real world (not just online) was so exciting that I couldn’t have chosen the right person to represent my product line. Esthetician or trained skin care professionals. They are my friends and I am so excited!

A new esthetician joins the team
Speaking of estheticians, when I owned a skin care spa in Dallas (formerly Boston), I was always around estheticians. When I closed my Dallas spa five years ago and I became a 100% product company, I wasn’t around estheticians anymore and I missed it. I received a lot of new ideas from them, so I felt like I was returning to my roots. We are currently hiring more estheticians. We perform a variety of roles such as new product development, customer care, social media, marketing and ultimately to serve you better. We recently hired estheticians Amanda and Maddie. Renée Rouleau celebrates 28 years of skincare
When you’ve been in business for this long, there are always moments of “pinch.” My goal was to help others feel more confident in their own skin. And I really appreciate your support making this possible for me. I’ve been doing this for 35 years now and could never imagine doing anything else. Thank you very much. The tradition of the “FLO-vember” challenge continues
As many of you may know, my husband of 22 years, Florian (our COO), passed away six years ago after a short battle with cancer. When he was alive, every November (his birthday month) we would do the FLO-vember Challenge, where we would set a health goal and stick to it every day that month. (We used to do burpees all the time, yikes!) My team and I continue this tradition, and it always reminds us of the importance of health and keeps his spirit alive. I know he’s proud.
Aestheticians and dermatologists collaborate
One of the things I love most about being in the beauty industry is the people I get to meet and learn from. We have some of the brightest, most innovative, and creative people in this industry, and we never tire of learning from them.
The big highlight of November was not only being able to give a lecture for the second year. Skin Care Science Summit But this year, I wore three hats. We were speakers, co-chairs of the esthetician track, and exhibitors showcasing our line. The great thing about this summit is that it brings together estheticians and dermatologists. This is extremely rare. Although we all have the same goal of improving our lives by improving our skin, our approaches may differ and we haven’t always played well together in the sandbox.
This situation is now changing, and we have a newfound mutual respect for how we view and treat our skin. This summit is one example of that. It was an honor to represent my fellow estheticians on a panel of renowned dermatologists (like Dr. Pimple Popper!).
