Ah, January is almost over. This week is a great week with a week off! I’m not going anywhere or seeing anyone, but it’s perfectly fine to have a quiet staycation.How will you spend your quiet vacation (if you have one) this Friday? Polish pickup is upon us again. It was added to your wishlist last night, so you can take a look at it until it’s released on Friday, February 3rd. This month’s theme is movie quotes and is very open-ended. I don’t like musicals, but “Pitch Perfect! ” I loved it. My husband loves Anna Kendrick, so I think that’s what prompted us to watch this in the first place. Mermaid Dancing is a white crelly with a touch of matte holo turquoise/blue/purple/fuchsia glitter, neon purple circular glitter, and holo she flakes. Natalie knows how to make the perfect white crelly. I only needed two coats of her medium coat to make it fully opaque. This changes texture as it dries thanks to all the glitter, so I recommend applying a quick-drying top coat after the glitter top coat to get the smooth finish you see in the picture.

A quick tip about using glitter top coats: I’ve read that some people have a problem with glitter top coats not being able to completely “fill in” the gaps created by glitter. The reason for this is that I didn’t have the patience between the last polish coat and the next polish coat. Use glitter top coat. We recommend waiting a few minutes for the polish to dry before adding the glitter top coat. Because if the top layer is still wet, the glitter top coat will get sucked into the last layer instead of filling in the gaps and floating to the top. I hope this makes sense.
