World Market Chairs Fun.jpg

Happy Cataday, my friend! I’m happy to report that our orange tree, which fell and split earlier this week due to the recent severe storms, has finally found a new home.

I hope this leak doesn’t traumatize her too much and she gets through it safely. However, I love the pots that El Hub and Connor chose, so maybe this fall was a blessing. Perhaps it’s time for her to get a new look in a bigger space.

Speaking of fresh looks, I returned to World Market earlier this week to take another look at the teal chair. A co-worker who specializes in home staging and interior design suggested I move the furniture around the chair to get a better idea of how it would look with other furniture, which I did.

Honestly, it was kind of fun! I really enjoyed the visual exercise of putting items together and seeing if they worked.

She also reminded me that to see if something works in your space, you have to actually put it there, play with it, and see how you feel about it. He gave it to me.

In the end, I brought home two chairs, a rug, and a side table. Mind you, this is not a permanent setup, so I still need to acquire quite a few items to complete the space.

When I showed these photos to a colleague, he told me that I was on the right track and that I should trust my instincts, which was a great relief. It’s magical and it feels like it’s easy to put together outfits and makeup visually, but when it comes to home decor, I always feel overwhelmed and can’t make decisions. It was nice to hear from other people who love things that I have a decent design instinct.

I can’t wait to play this on a warm night

Have a wonderful Saturday! It’s going to be sunny today and the temperature will be near 70 degrees, so I’m going to go outside and soak up some sun.
