Hello! Connor is having his final dance performance of the school year this weekend, so while you’re reading this, I’ll be busy working as a dance mom. 🙂
As I’ve said before, I live in the Bay Area, where we often see a lot of wildlife roaming around. For example, the other day while returning from lunch, I saw a very cute deer eating a snack near a cluster of classrooms on campus. I’ve seen her a few times now, and as I seem to have a habit of naming every animal I come across, I named her Jasmine.
Oh, and another thing I do is have endless fun with hyphens. This post from Merriam-Webster made me laugh so hard!
Anyway, I have to admit, I can’t help but notice Connor’s high ponytail and red matte lipstick. I sometimes wonder if spending so much of my younger life reading beauty blogs was specifically preparing this little girl for a dance performance.
Enjoy the rest of your Saturday and spend it squeezing lemons.
This week’s reading
- “The first time someone put makeup on me was in seventh grade. My best friend was starting to experiment with makeup at the time and I thought she looked beautiful, so I thought maybe I would too. But when she put the finishing touches on and looked in the mirror, I didn’t like what I saw.”
- It’s no surprise that Curel cleansing oil made it to the top of the list. List of the best cleansing oilsThat’s amazing! I wish it was easier to find in stores.
- “Sometimes I think that smelling good is like being invited to a party. The more enticing the scent, the more glamorous the promise, and the more I look forward to where the journey will take me. And nowhere is this more true than Mexico City.”
- Kate Moss Launching a beauty line.
- Nissan is Tires and cherry blossoms.
- “Close your eyes and imagine a silk veil moving and flowing around you. It doesn’t suffocate but envelops you like a cocoon, caressing your skin gently and comforting your mind and body. It’s the epitome of skin scent: intimate, barely there, elusive and the latest trend in perfumery that we just can’t get enough of.”
