There are so many great lip liners out there these days. My top 5 favorites are below.
Huda Beauty Lip Contour 2.0 ($21, color shown is pinky brown) has the best long-wear lip liner formula. I love that it has full coverage pigment, glides on easily, and is packaged in a twist-up format with a removable sharpener at the bottom. My favorite shades are pinky brown, terracotta, honey beige, and sandy beige.

Pat McGrath Permagel Ultra Lip Pencil ($29, color structure shown) is another great formula with great color. Structure is the perfect neutral brown, Nude Venus is the perfect peachy nude, and Buff is the perfect nude pink.
MAKEUP FOR EVER ARTIST COLOR PENCIL ($22, Walnut shown) is another great classic pencil. This formula can be used on eyes, eyebrows, and lips and has a matte finish that blends easily. Wherever Walnut seems to be the most popular color, but I also love Up & Down Tan and Anywhere Caffeine.they released something really cute mini artist pencil set ($35) has the best-selling shade.
charlotte tilbury lip cheat ($25, Show Pillow Talk) is my most used lip pencil. Pillow Talk is on my lips but it’s a nicer shade. I also love Pillow Talk Medium and Iconic Nude.
Sephora Collection Lip Liner to Go ($6, shown in light brown) is a mini lip pencil sized perfectly for the smallest clutch or pouch. I have it in several colors, but my favorite is the neutral light brown for everyday use.

Sephora has so many great lipsticks. I can list at least a dozen formulas that I think are great, so it was very difficult to narrow it down to the top five. The best things I’m looking for the most are:
armani lip power ($45 each, Shade 109 shown) is one of the best creamy, opaque, and smooth lipsticks I’ve tried. There are so many great colors, but 109 is the best everyday pink in my opinion.They also do this matte formula (Lots of great nudes. I love Shade 111 Matte).
NARS Afterglow Sensual Shine Hydrating Lipstick ($32, Orgasm shown) is my favorite shine lipstick formula. Impressive pigment shine combination. It has a pleasant balm-like moisturizing feel. My favorites are Orgasm, a peachy pink gold, Breathless, a beige nude, and Dolce Vita, a classic rose.
gucci care glow and shine lipstick ($47, shown in Sally Soft Honey) is another great shine lipstick. The pigments work really well with these and I love the glossy finish. Sally Soft Honey is the best everyday pinky nude. Call It a Day is the best mauve (perfect for fall). I also love Julie Blush, which is a bright peach shade.
pat mcgrath matte trans lipstick ($39, shown in Nude Venus) is hands down the best matte lipstick formula I’ve tried. It’s smooth and opaque, doesn’t make your lips look dry, and the color selection is excellent. Available in a wide range of neutrals, reds, bolds and browns. My top three shades are Nude Venus (peach nude), Christie (pink nude), and Divine Rose (rose pink).
YSL Rouge Pure Couture Caring Satin Lipstick ($45, shown in N5 Tribute Nude) is a new formula and after trying a few shades, I have to say I’m really impressed. It has a very smooth formula that glides perfectly on the lips. I will be doing a full review on the shades I chose soon.

gucci transfer proof matte liquid lipstick ($47, Grace Cinnamon) is a beautiful formula. Grace Cinnamon is the perfect nude pink shade with smooth coverage and super lightweight texture.
Urban Decay Vice Lip Bond Glossy Longwear Liquid Lipstick ($27, shown as OG Backtalk) is one of the best long-lasting liquid lipsticks in the sense that it doesn’t shake or transfer once it sets. OG Backtalk is a really pretty mauve color. I also think Text Em is the best rose pink shade ever created.
tom ford lip luxe matte ($59, shown as Naked Haze) is another exceptional formula. I’ve only tried one shade, Naked Haze, which is a great everyday nude pink. I plan on getting one or two more during the Sephora savings event. The texture is light and the coverage is smooth and very good.
Dior Rouge Dior Forever Transfer Liquid ($45, Shade 100 Forever Nude) is also a great long-wear formula with color transfer protection. I have this in several shades and it stays on without any color transfer. Shade 100 Forever Nude is perfect.
Sephora Collection Cream Lip Stain Liquid Lipstick ($15, Shade 70 First Date) is an affordable liquid lipstick with an impressive color selection. The formula provides full coverage with a creamy satin finish. I am 100% a lip gloss fan at heart. Here are my top 5 best formulas that I reach for the most.
Forget the Lawless filler ($26, shown in Cherry Vanilla) is the best smoothing lip gloss that plumps up without stinging. I like the fuller lip look with darker/bolder shades. It’s thick, but I like the finish. Cherry Vanilla is the best sheer red I’ve ever tried. Juicy watermelon has the most beautiful bright pink color.They also launched some shades jumbo size ($38 each) And some cute ones for the holidays Mini Dreamy Darlings Plumper Set ($27).
Dior Addict Lip Maximizer Plumping Gloss ($40, shown 12 Rosewood) is my most used lip gloss in terms of color and texture. I splurged on almost every color and can easily say it was 100% worth the splurge.
Fenty gloss bomb universal lip luminizer ($21, showing Fenty Glow) is also a favorite. Fenty Glow has been popular ever since the day it was released. All colors are wearable and very attractive. I love the smooth texture and shine. I think all colors are required.
Pat McGrath LUST Gloss ($29, Nude Venus pictured) is also a great smooth texture gloss. Nude Venus is a great peachy pink color with great coverage. Fresh Fantasy is a lovely beige pink. Divine Rose is a stunning plum pink.
Bobbi Brown Crushed Oil Infused Gloss ($33, In the Buff Shown) provides hydration, color, and shine all in one. The finish is very comfortable and perfect for those no-makeup days on vacation (or at the beach) when you want to look a little color polished.
Most Worn Tinted Balm/Sheer Lip/Oil
Finally, let’s take a look at the best colored balms. Many of these can also be used as sheer lipsticks.
Tarte Maracuja Juicy Lip Plump ($24, white peach pictured) is a formula I always have in my bag. Every color they have launched is very wearable. The finish was smooth and I really liked the way it felt on my lips. During the holiday season, many great value sets and limited edition colors will be available. Summer Fridays Lip Butter ($24, Vanilla Beige pictured) is another formula I carry in every wallet. I also keep a transparent one on my nightstand. Each shade has a different scent to match the color name, but it’s not overpowering.I love cute things mini lip butter set I think it would make a very cute gift.
cosas wet lip oil ($22, Revealed) is one of my favorite tinted lip oil formulas. In fact, it doesn’t feel as thick as you would expect from an oil. Each color is beautiful. The one I get asked about most often is Revealed, which I’m wearing in this article.
Last but not least, I really love YSL Rouge Volupte Shine ($43, showing shade 162) and YSL candy glaze lip gloss stick ($39, 15 showcase nudes on hand, 13 flashing roses in the background). Both are balm-like formulas. Rouge Volute Shine has a smoother, sheer, glossy finish, while Candy Her Glaze has a thicker, jelly-like finish. Both are truly amazing in formula and color.
