Do you know the song “Here Comes the Hotstepper” by Ini Kamoze? This song plays in my head every time I use the 3-step mask (“Here Comes the Three Stepper”). Daycel! This mask uses probiotics and focuses on a healthy skin microbiome. Probiotics in skin care are nothing new and have been proven to soothe skin, help with breakouts, improve overall skin texture, and increase elasticity.

The first step is an exfoliating toner pad that has a textured surface and contains niacinamide and four types of probiotics. It stung at the slightest touch, but it wasn’t that bad.

The sheet mask is beautiful, the cupra mask fits like a glove, feels very soft, and even though I’ve been using this mask for several years, it’s still soaked with so much essence. Contains niacinamide derived from bifidobacteria fermentation filtrate, yeast fermentation filtrate, pumpkin fermentation filtrate, and rice fermentation liquor, as well as four types of lactic acid bacteria.

The final step was a moisturizer containing niacinamide and the same four probiotics, cyclopentasiloxane, to improve slip. Even with this, the moisturizer was quite thick and it took me a few extra seconds to massage it into my skin. Personally, I could have chosen a lighter moisturizer as the mask is highly moisturizing, but I guess the idea was to lock it in!
What I really liked was that all of the featured ingredients were at the top of the ingredients list, so I knew I was getting exactly what was advertised. Most Korean sheet masks are like this, and considering the $5 price, I feel it’s great value.
Final verdict: I would like to use this mask again! The exfoliating toning pad is the first step compared to serums and ampoules, and the sheet mask itself was nice to use. I probably used half the amount of moisturizer, but nevertheless, I woke up the next day with very hydrated and plump skin.
It’s a little disappointing that as far as I know, Daycell Probiotics Lactobacillus Bacteria 3 Step Solution can only be found on the Daycell website.
