what i bought
Happy new year! 2025 feels like it came out of nowhere, but I’m glad to be here again and experience another year of trying to live my best life. Lunar New Year is at the end of this month, which means it’s #Lunar January all over again, and we’re trying to feature as many Asian brands as possible on the blog. My plan is to try and feature more cool sheet masks and different beauty products from Asian or Asian-owned brands, but since I’m trying to buy them at low prices this month, I can honestly say I don’t have enough. I’m going to shop my stash of sizes. It’s like going out and buying things.
Today’s #Lunar January post features a long-established Korean skincare brand. it’s the skin They’re known for some of the cutest, most affordable skin care with decent ingredients for the price. There are four types of sheet masks that we will introduce this time. fresh mask series. There are 10 types in total, but Miniso only had these 4 types (of course I would have bought them all if they were available lol). All four masks were very similar, so I’ll skip the usual breakdown and give a quick review of each.
Aloe: moisturizing and soothing effect

It has a soothing effect, but even though the top half of the essence contains aloe, the top half of the essence was clear and watery and didn’t feel sticky when I peeled it off, but I always had to put a moisturizer and eye cream on top of it. It was necessary. It also smells like aloe!

As for the fit of the masks, all four masks fit equally well, but I was unable to smooth out wrinkles in the chin area. The material of the mask was soft and comfortable, but I was a little concerned about the fit.
Carrot: Clear skin

Carrot extract contains the antioxidant beta-carotene, which helps improve elasticity, texture, and age spots. This mask also contains licorice root, which has skin whitening properties. In case anyone was wondering, this didn’t smell like carrots. It didn’t have much of a scent, just a slight sweetness. The essence is clear and watery, and it didn’t leave any sticky residue on my face even after I removed it. However, it felt a little dry after a few minutes of removing the mask, so I needed an eye cream and moisturizer.
Blueberry: vitality and moisture

Blueberry extract is also an antioxidant and has anti-inflammatory properties, which can help improve skin texture and redness. This mask had a slight blueberry scent and had a milky essence in it. This mask was not sticky when removed and I didn’t feel the need for additional moisturizer compared to other masks.
Bamboo: moisture and freshness
What’s so great about bamboo extract? It is also an antioxidant that helps soothe the skin and can fight free radicals. The essence was clear and watery, with a slightly sweet scent reminiscent of tea. It didn’t feel sticky when I removed it, but I felt like my skin needed more moisture, so I added two drops of Peregrym Facial Serum Concentrate.
Final verdict: Considering the price, I think these masks are perfectly fine. The mask alone wasn’t super moisturizing, but I’m someone who likes to layer my skincare routine. I think I paid $2 each for these masks, so even if they weren’t perfect, I felt like I got my money’s worth and I’m willing to try the other six masks that are part of this collection. I think so.
It’s Skin Fresh Mask is a classic sheet mask, so you can find it all over the place at various retailers and Asian online skin care stores.
