Last week, my friend Jerry and I attended our annual shopping/catch-up event. After the holiday season, you can splurge a little after shopping cheaply. The shopping area changes from year to year, but this year I wanted to stay downtown, close to everything. Our first stop was lush green At the Pacific Center, I had to return 10 black tubs (5 for Jerry and 5 for myself) so each could get a new Fresh Face Mask (I had to use Enzyme (I received a cleanser) and many other goodies.
Lots of new and cute Mother’s Day products were released, and one of them was the Queen Bee sheet mask. At first I thought Lush was going to let me make my own mask and it was coming apart, but it turned out they were just rolling it up haha!
This mask contains purifying activated charcoal, soothing aloe, and skin-boosting orange juice and bergamot peel extract. It also smells like Lush’s iconic scent, “Honey, I Washed the Children.” This is a toffee-like scent that I happily smell and eat every day.
You can now successfully reuse this mask 3 times! I went to Lush’s website to check out some reviews and the main reason the reviews weren’t good was because the mask broke on the first use. I will say about the tear that I had a hard time opening this mask the first time and it honestly took me about 10 minutes just to peel the mask off the compostable plastic. I had to be careful and slow when removing the eye and mouth areas as they were quite thin and I was sure they would tear. To be honest, I was worried about applying it to my face because the mask was missing chunks, but I managed to keep it on. In subsequent uses, I just rolled it up in the same plastic and shoved it in the fridge and never had the problem of it peeling off again.

The instructions say to use this mask on your bare face immediately after washing your face. This mask is best for damp skin, so I sneaked in some toner here and there, but let me tell you, this mask feels great straight out of the fridge. Wow, it feels so good!
Mask overview:
price: $12 CDN for up to 1 week.
function: Moisturizes and soothes
scent: Honey, I washed the kids! This is a toffee scent and one of my favorite Lush scents.
Essence type: none! Very strange, but the mask still works.
interval: 10 minutes
thickness: she is thick and heavy
Mask fit: It’s heavy and double-layered where the black band is, so it pulls on the mask quite a bit when you’re standing. This mask will fit better around your jaw when you lie down.
Stickiness: Not at all.
Hydration: Surprisingly good! You may still need to use a moisturizer afterwards, but I wavered between not using a moisturizer and using the Naturium Multi-Peptide Moisturizer when I took off the mask.
Other notes: Not applicable
I believe this is a limited edition release, so grab your Lush Queen Bee Sheet Mask in stores now!
