My review
I love the Phyto-Rouge range of Sisley Paris, and this soft matte version is a gorgeous addition.
Formula
This is a moist and long, cumbersome formula, with each shade being intensely pigmented. The lipstick has a lightweight feel and feels very comfortable on your lips. Many matte formulas tend to get touch dry, but I have to say, this is potentially one of the most comfortable mats I’ve worn. You get its modern, diffused velvet finish without drying.
package
As you would expect from Sisley, the packaging is really luxurious. The lipstick has a stunning gold and zebra print case that is very chic, and has a nice magnetic closure that always makes me happy. It is one of the lipsticks you’re proud to pull out of your handbag. Plus, like many Sisley lipsticks, the Phyto-Rouge Velvet is refillable.
Color
The Sisley Paris Phyto-Rouge Velvet Lipstick comes in 12 colors. I love the three I have, and the full range includes gorgeous nude, bright pink, orange and red. There’s something here for everyone. As a nude lover, the shade 10 beige nude is my favorite.
performance
I wear 10 beige nudes and it’s really working. It fades a little after eating, but wears evenly and leaves a soft, dyed effect. There was no peeling or dryness and my lips continue to feel really comfortable.
