Season’s greetings! It’s hard to believe that we’re in the middle of the Christmas season. People are getting trees (we did it again today!), putting up Christmas lights (work in progress!), and putting up other decorations. I’ve been looking back at my December posts for years, and when I came across this one, I couldn’t help but laugh. 🙂 Mount St. Tabby? That was the SO tab.
It was a quiet morning on our hill today. Nothing particularly interesting happened except some joggers were running and someone’s tail flipped back…
While Tubbs was checking out his usual grass, plants, and leaves, I spent some time thinking about how possessive and jealous Tubbs is now that he’s older.
It’s not just his people. He does this outside of his realm as well. Last week, I may or may not have received a post-it asking me to write to the city about renaming the hill “Mt. Fuji.” Because Tubbs doesn’t want to think about anyone. By “anyone” I mean the other cats lounging on the hill.
These morning patrols are his “meow time.” Because he doesn’t have to compete with anyone else for my attention. It’s not like El Habu or the baby or TJ’s snacks are coming into my mouth. When we’re outside, it’s just me and Trabby, just the two of us against the world. 🙂
