This year has been an exciting time for Tubbs. For a cat like Tub, the holidays mean a comfy couch, fragrant leaves, tinsel, delicious treats, fluffy feathers and more – friend arrivals, indoor trees, flashing lights, and the biggest turkey of the year. It was a treasure trove of cats.
As chairman of the decoration committee at Tubbs the Cat Industries LLC, Tubbs was in charge of decorating the Christmas tree and I just did what he told me to do.
The usual schedule is as follows. It was the first week of December and I hadn’t decided on an overall theme yet, but I was planning on narrowing it down to red, green, and silver crispy Actinidia ornaments, sweets, and string. red Christmas ball with classic white lights.
probably. But he still won’t be sure.
In any case, he always had a lot of help. The decoration committee was always on standby, waiting for orders.
And the tab? Well, he was always late because of this or that. Often it was simply because his morning patrol was long. They were usually uneventful, except for one or two cats who tried to steal the ornamental Actinidia plants by the business’s front door.
But 9 times out of 10, Tubbs glared at them and they snuck away.
It is, and always has been, a wonderful season for cats. 🙂
