With snow currently piling up in large parts of the United States, it can be hard to imagine summer days in the distant future. Long, loose, salty beach waves settle on our shoulders in tank tops. Our deodorant is still not effective. But while many of us are trying to figure out the best way to tuck our hair under a warm beanie, sidney sweeney decided to inject a decidedly summery hairstyle into her otherwise chill look.
On Sunday night, Sweeney was spotted in New York City looking exactly like the Snow Queen, wearing a shearling-trimmed white coat belted over a white turtleneck and pants. She continued the ivory theme with her bag and boots. Despite the dressiness of her outfit, that didn’t stop her from literally digging in the snow, picking up snowballs, packing them, and throwing them at paparazzi and onlookers.
And somehow, despite falling snow that would have easily ruined any normal person’s hairstyle, Sweeney’s expression remained beaming, reminiscent of a warm-weather look. The several-inch ombre, which started blonde at the center-parted roots and transitioned to golden blonde, looked sleek but not too “done.” Her waist-length beach waves were a little messy, yet somehow remained pristine, as if the snow had helped them form into perfect shape with the ease of salt.
