Each year, the Met Gala red carpet in New York City features some of the most memorable celebrity fashion moments of all time, with the theme “Sleeping Beauty: Fashion Awakening,” and this one is no exception. A group of A-listers appeared on the red carpet. Custom-made carpet. The night’s best dressed were those who paid homage to this year’s theme (and the Garden of Time dress code) in both thoughtful and unexpected ways. Of course, all of the official co-hosts of the 2024 Met Gala made the best-dressed list.
When Ke Ke Palmer eloquently appeared on the carpet in a form-fitting gown designed by Marc Jacobs, we were transported. From her neckline to her sleeves, her dress was adorned with timeless beaded embroidered sequins that hugged her silhouette perfectly. Zendaya turned heads with not one, but two of her striking looks, including a custom Margiela look and a vintage Givenchy dress from the house’s Spring 1996 collection. Jennifer Lopez opted for a sparkling Schiaparelli number. Meanwhile, stars like Teyana Taylor wore a red velvet rose appliqué dress from The Blonde archives.
