Oh hello! It’s been a while since I wrote a travel article about this area. It’s been exactly 3 years and 7 months. So things are progressing uponHowever, Mark and I finally booked a trip for just the two of us and took our first overseas vacation in 3 years and 7 months. Let me say it was great. We went to bed after 6am and ate a plate full of food without sharing, there was *silence*. We feel so lucky and grateful to have time to ourselves, and even airports seem to be a more relaxing experience these days.

We returned to Mallorca because we had good memories from our last visit there. We love the food, we love the people, and we love the hotels we stayed at before. It’s just a two-hour flight from Gatwick.Honestly my original Mallorca Travel Guide If you’re planning a trip from scratch, this is still the place to go, but we wanted to add some updates to show you some things that were so good we revisited and some new places we discovered. think. Here’s what we came up with…

first day

We caught an early flight at 5:40am leaving Gatwick Airport. It’s scary to wake up, but it gave me time to explore around Palma, so I really recommend it. d took the later flight. After we grabbed our rental car, we threw it in the car. Appalcamento Parc de la MarIt’s huge and not too expensive – Spit out into the city center. Last time we visited we didn’t get to explore much around Palma, but it was very nice! It’s definitely something you should do. I was hungry so I headed in the next direction. Cafe Liutorto And they have the best jamon sandwich I’ve ever had. I’m still thinking about it. There were some great shops in that part of town for a quick peek. seattle vintage store great vintage pieces Unico Vintage Store With the best vintage denim lineup I’ve ever seen, Surrey Hills for coffee, M&P studio Looked like a great nail place, petit bun view For baby bits, Covent de la Missio looked like the most fanciful Hotel – Even the lobby smelled amazing. purple haze For vinyl.

But the star of the show was a place we’ve been to before – el camino. Book here as soon as you book your holiday.it’s a problem emergency. I foolishly left too late, but I managed to get a last minute reservation that morning, which made me cry. It’s very popular and gets booked up quickly, but the hype is real. The last time we visited, it was some of the best food we’ve ever had.you are not It was disappointing. Classic tapas dishes prepared and served at the bar. I had the red shrimp as a special and it was so delicious that I ordered it twice.the that A place like that.

After a quick stop at the supermarket, we headed to the hotel. Finca Serena – This is the place I visited last time. we love it here. Although there’s nothing nearby as it’s in the center of the island, it’s a great midway point on your trip and the views from the hotel are spectacular. It’s adults only, so it’s very calm, and I think there are about 25 rooms, so it’s not too noisy. Just imagine everyone reading a book by the pool all day. heaven. The rooms are really simply decorated and the service is great, the only drawback is the food. Quite expensive and the dinner menu is very fancy when you want pan con tomate every now and then. We get around this problem by having one dinner at the hotel as a reward and then shopping at a good supermarket for lunch.

Day 2

After a pretty fulfilling day, the second day It got cold. In fact, we haven’t even left the hotel! We enjoyed breakfast – which was very nice and included cold and hot options – and then went to the pool to soak up a bit of sun, before, yes, you guessed it – more food. For a good old supermarket lunch, I found one plate and one knife in my room, cobbled together. The nice thing about this hotel is that it also has a spa. I booked a massage there and it felt so good that I fell asleep halfway through. Ha!it is I never have It happened before. It was really quiet there so Mark and I had the spa to ourselves. How rich is that? We then headed back to our room to freshen up before the sumptuous dinner served by the restaurant.

third day

Since it was my last day, I did a little bit of everything. We actually trained in the spa gym in the morning – I know, we are now full grown adults. We then made the most of our last chance to do nothing and did just that for a few hours. Then in the late afternoon we traveled an hour across the island to Deia. It’s a mountaintop village so beautiful it’s hard to believe it’s real. If you find a parking lot on the way, grab it Parking is a bit of a pain in the butt. This little boulevard is quite pricey, but there are some nice clothing and ceramic shops to browse around. La Residencia, was recommended by a friend. My opinion is as follows. beautiful, as well as cocktails, but be prepared to cost 28 euros. You’re basically paying for a front row seat with some of the best views on the island (plus, they bring you plenty of snacks!).Then we went to Restaurant Sa Viña Dinner – We recommend reserving your table via email as many tables are reserved. Great traditional spot, and again that view! I started with the vegetarian paella, shrimp, and aioli, which was insane. Be sure to order if you visit. A garlic lover’s dream. All in all, a perfect end to our vacation that left us feeling brand new again.
