This year’s Florida winter has been dry and colder than usual, but for most people, winter is usually very cold and dry. To focus on body care and combat dry skin, I would like to share some of my favorites in rotation. You can choose from multiple price ranges.
body lotion and cream
There are so many great body creams and lotions on the market, but I feel like I’m missing out on a lot of great formulas because I’m so picky about scent. When it comes to body moisturizers, I usually prefer unscented or lightly scented ones. I also need something that feels smooth without being sticky, so anything that’s “refreshing” is usually a no-no for me.
My favorite body cream right now is Herbivore Botanicals Cloud Milk Firming Body Cream ($40 at Herbivore, sephora and nordstrom).that’s what i wanted Kopari Ultra Restore Body Butter ($36) However, I felt it was a little too strong and the scent was too sweet for my taste. The one from Herbivore Botanicals has a soft, cushiony velvety creamy texture that melts into your skin. It smells like coconut and vanilla, but not too strong. It has a very moist feel, is highly absorbent, and does not pill.
Naturium Biolipid Restoring Body Lotion ($14.99) is unscented, semi-thick, but non-greasy, making it a wallet-friendly option. It takes a little effort to fully massage into the skin, but I really like it. I took the travel size with me on a trip.
charlotte tilbury magic body cream ($30 – $65, also duo bundle set) is one of the more expensive options I’ve tried.If you like it magic cream As for the face, I think you’ll like this. I like both. It has a very luxurious feel and texture. Like the face version, it has a faint scent, but it’s lighter and fresher. It contains shea butter and is very soothing. It also has a smoothing effect. I think it’s incredibly overpriced, but I think the formula is really good.
Prequel Barrier Therapy Skin Protectant Cream ($18) is a soothing body cream with 1% colloidal oatmeal.that’s what i wanted First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream It’s sold in the form of a body lotion, but I was browsing the website and found out that it actually comes in a body lotion. ultra repair body lotion ($38) This seems to be limited to the website. Prequel Barrier Cream has helped soothe the dry skin irritation I’ve had this winter. Some areas of my hands and arms became very dry, cracked and red, and I felt a burning sensation that made it difficult to sleep. A mix of Vaseline and Prequel cream calmed everything down and brought back moisture. I usually just love applying this on my body.
Many people like Osea, especially anti-aging body balm and body butter.I received a mini sample. anti-aging body balm When I tried it, the formula was incredible! There’s some slippage in the finish, and it’s on the breezy side, so it doesn’t have much of a dry down feel. I’m wondering if I can wear it because the soft texture feels so good, but I don’t want it to stick to my clothes.I think you can order them Grow to Go Starter ($32) I plan on trying a few other things.
body oil
I love a good body oil, but this is another category where I’m very picky about scent and texture. Thick ones are best for hydration, but I prefer ones that aren’t thick or greasy.
of Tata Harper Revitalizing Body Oil ($120, available below) Tata Harper, blue mercury, nordstrom and sephora) It was highly recommended by more than a dozen people in a survey I conducted while on vacation. The scent is strong, but pleasant. It smells like a spa treatment, green, fresh and definitely energizing. Penetrates beautifully into the skin and moisturizes it.I’m going to try it resurfacing body serum or smoothing scrub Next.
celine huille celeste ($195) was quite a splurge, but I mainly like the scent. This is one of his three new additions to the Celine perfume lineup in the Cologne Celeste scent. Beautiful, fresh citrus with notes of angelica, sweet lemon essence, petitgrain, nerolia cord, ambrette butter, and orris butter. This is a pour-out bottle, so I wish it had a stopper or spray. I’m not sure how long it will work since it’s designed for cologne, but I managed to get an extra spritzer cap for the top at the store. The texture is fantastic and beautiful. A true massage oil. I bought this because it has a very light scent compared to cologne, but I like it so much that I plan on using it until the last drop. I don’t think I’ll buy it again because of the high price, but it was a great splurge.
Chanel Louise Vanille ($230) is also a splurge, but I think it was 100% worth it.of chanel body massage oil There are currently four scents and I would like to get them all, but I like vanilla the best.It smells exactly like that Sublimage skin care line It’s very unique. It has a soft scent and the most beautiful texture. I really like the way it feels absorbed into the skin. The only downside is that the glass packaging is large. It’s very beautiful and very sturdy, but its large size makes it a little difficult to hold. Also, since there is no stopper on the top and it is a pourable type, you need to be careful not to pour too much. However, the formula is 10/10.
shower care
There are three things I like recently in baths and showers. Saltaire A lineup of body and hair care items at reasonable prices.i really loved them Golden Hour Oil Infused Nourishing Body Wash ($15). It’s a sweet but not too sweet pineapple + coconut scent. A body wash with a gel-like texture. The moisturizing level is medium, not as much as an oil, but more than a regular shower gel. I really liked the texture and formula.
Bioderma Atoderm Body Cleansing Oil ($29.99) is perfect for soft, hydrated skin. It works wonders on dry skin and keeps it smooth. I wish the packaging was a little more beautiful, but the formula is great.they also have it Smaller 3.4 fl oz travel size You may want to try it out before purchasing the full size.
Sol de Janeiro Brazilian 4 Play Moisturizing Shower Cream Gel ($26-$56) is probably the shower cream I buy most often. The scent is very strong, but I like it very much. A cream shower product that deeply moisturizes the skin without leaving a film or residue.After going through so much of this we decided to start purchasing Value size 33.1 oz Comes with a pump.they also make this Large capacity refill pack now available.
I love a good body scrub, but so far I haven’t found one that I really like. Most products are either a little too gritty or oil-based scrubs leave your skin feeling too oily. For now, I just use a good cloth to exfoliate.
Hand and cuticle care
I’ve gone through tons of hand creams and cuticle oils over the past few months, but I’m sticking with the tried-and-true stuff for now.I love Chanel La Crème Man ($55) or Le Lift La Crème Mine ($70) Because it has the best drydown and is not sticky. For me they have the perfect amount of moisture.
I think L’Occitane is best for super dry hands and skin.I just ordered a restock. shea butter hand cream ($13, new packaging looks great!) cuticle oil ($22).
Finished the cuticle OPI Prospa Cuticle Oil I really loved it. I’ll probably buy it again. I’m currently finishing my second bottle. hermes nail oil I love it, but it’s almost always out of stock. Chanel Louise Camellia ($32) is another indulgent option and quite a splurge, but it’s incredibly nourishing and effective. What I purchased was Dior Huile Abricot ($30) Repackaged. I really loved it before and still do, but it’s not as moisturizing as OPI or Chanel.
