When it comes to physical and mental health, I always encourage people to find a routine that works for them. For me, yoga and meditation always help me stay focused and get back on track after a busy few weeks at work. If you’re new to meditation, I highly recommend trying one of the many meditation apps on the market today. It’s an easy way to see if it helps without having to attend a class or one-on-one session with her.

insight timer

One of my favorite mindfulness apps is Insight Timer, which is one of the most popular meditation apps. For me, the whole concept of mindfulness is learning to be kind to yourself, and the podcasts and Insight Timer guided meditations have really helped me grow in this area. You can also track your meditation time (along with others using the app), so you’ll feel like you’re accomplishing something every time you take the time to meditate.

Top tip: Find a suitable time for meditation. People often advise me to meditate first thing in the morning, but I personally like to meditate right before bed. This will help you wake up refreshed and ready for the next day.

Podcast addict…

live awake” is a podcast by Sarah Blondin that is well worth a listen. It’s all about learning to love yourself, be kind to yourself, and live more mindfully and connected to the world. Her teachings and meditations have been requested for use in U.S. prisons and are used in recovery and wellness programs around the world. The end of each episode includes a guided meditation on the topic in question. Even if you don’t think you’re ready to commit to meditation, I encourage you to listen to Sarah’s podcast.
